Pop over to Shoreditch for an evening at garish and glorious Nikki’s.
You’ve got to hand it to the Adventure Bar crew: they’ve got a stellar lineup of badass ladies. First came Waterloo’s Josephine, the don’t-give-a-fuck party girl. Then, retro throwback Gloria stormed into Soho. Last but by no means least, Nikki joined the team – and she means business. And obviously, that includes brunch; you can pick up tickets to the bar’s fabulous 80s bottomless brunch here.
Inspired by the ‘the nightmare girlfriend your mum warned you about’, Nikki’s is a place where hedonism reigns – they’ve even stuck a bed in the bar for squad posing sessions and other naughtiness.
Haters and hangups should both be left at the door for this one, because you never know where the night will take you. Drawing kitschy influences from the likes of Quentin Tarantino, amongst others, Nikki’s outlandish decor splashed with tropical colour.
Drinks have a definite party-girl flavour, with the Pineapple Negroni and the Toasted Popcorn Sour catching the eye. The XO Espresso Martini sounds especially potent, with a mix of vodka, tequila, Kahlua, and espresso guaranteed to get you up and dancing.
And if you love the sound of that, you’re going to go wild for Nikki’s bottomless brunch, which is throwing it all the way back to the 80s. Hopping into their ‘tacky time machine’ will transport you to a world of mischief and mismatched clothes, as your drag hosts Dolly Trolly and Shay Shay run proceedings. You’ll be belting out pop ballads, tucking into mouthwatering burgers, and enjoying bottomless bubbles at this brunch, which runs every Saturday through the summer. Best brush up on lip syncing and dig up the spandex, because you’re going to need it…
