Blame it on the good times, Blame it on Gloria.
From the award-winning team that brought you the jaw-dropping interiors of Tonight Josephine, Bar Elba and The Escapologist comes an all-new, all-vintage nightspot in Covent Garden: Blame Gloria, opening soon with a brilliant party.
Inspired by ‘an opulent nana with a groupie past’, the Bedford Street basement cocktail bar aims to offer an eclectic, loose and outrageous vibe: expect fabrics inspired by Jimi Hendrix outfits, Peter Blake, boho, and Bowie influences, generating more groovy ‘gram opportunities than you can shake a stiletto at. Here’s a little peek inside:
Gloria’s recipe book will be a cocktails-only affair – ‘Nana doesn’t cook’, the organisers explain – full of zingy little numbers like the strawberry gin-based Love Potion No. 10 and passionfruit-powered Porn Star Martini.
Ready to get it on with Gloria? Your first chance to visit will be on Thursday, August 16, with their razzle-dazzle ‘Secret’ Pre-Opening Party, and we’ve got tickets. £10 will get you in the door and two cocktails in your hand – all you need to bring are your dancing shoes and an open mind. Ciao darlings!
