We can’t Cabar-ait for this!
This week has marked the triumphant return of entertainment across the country, with indoor activities given the green light. And, of course, this means the return of theatre, an industry which has suffered greatly during the pandemic. [Featured Image: Kozlik, Shutterstock*].
Marking the occasion is a piece of excellent news, as the world-famous West End revealed a brand new theatre is opening in its parts this year. The Kit Kat Club is due to open its doors November, and will debut a performance of the marvellous Cabaret.

Starring in the production are two giants of the game. Oscar, Golden Globe, BAFTA, Tony and Olivier award winner Eddie Redmayne will take on the role of “The Emcee”; with Bafta Nominee and British Independent Film award winner Jessie Buckley portraying “Sally Bowles”.
Cabaret will be brought to life in a unique new performance in the sparkling new, 550-capacity West End space. Guests will be in delight as they hear the music of John Kander, and tale told by Joe Masteroff. In this grand new version, belting out the beloved tunes including Wilkommen, Don’t Tell Mama, Mein Herr, Maybe This Time, and money is certain to be a sparkling return to theatre for many.

Director Rebecca Frecknall said: “It’s such a privilege to have the opportunity to direct Cabaret, a show that has always been dear to my heart. It’s thrilling to be able to approach this classic and important musical at a time when its themes and atmosphere feel so contemporary and resonant.
“I’m in awe of my incredible creative team who have come together to create a bold new production as well as a new ‘Kit Kat Club’, a bespoke home where we can truly embrace and unlock the world of Cabaret for a new audience”.
