A brand new festival is hitting the UK this summer, with none other than Ms. Lauryn Hill bringing her ‘Diaspora Calling!‘ concept over to the Milton Keynes National Bowl on Friday, August 7.
Lauryn Hill will headline the day festival, with the Music & Art festival launching for the first time in the UK, delivering an open-air day filled with plenty of artists performing and “celebrating the culture, creativity and shared histories of the African diaspora”.

‘Diaspora Calling!’ was first launched by Lauryn Hill in 2016, with an art exhibition and live performance in Brooklyn, which focused on Haitian art and live music. Following this, the concept became a tour, with artists such as Nas, Kehlani, Noname, and Little Simz among those who performed.
The festival at Milton Keynes Bowl will mark Lauryn Hill’s first UK performance since ‘The Celebration Continues’ tour in 2024, which saw her play both a set of her own and with Fugees, and included a huge gig at The O2 in London.
Who is playing at Ms. Lauryn Hill’s ‘Diaspora Calling!’ festival?
So far, we know that the whole event will, as mentioned, be headlined by Ms. Lauryn Hill herself, in what is currently her only confirmed performance in the UK for 2026. Wyclef Jean, who was, of course, part of Fugees with Lauryn Hill, is also along for the ride, with YG Marley and Zion Marley making up the rest of the first wave of acts.
The full lineup is set to be announced in due course.
