South London’s cult sandwich connoisseurs are back – and they’re expanding!
Mondo Sando are heading further down the Southeastern line with a brand new venture: MONDO TO GO, opening Friday 10th April 2026 in Deptford.
To celebrate, they’re slicing 50% off food all opening weekend from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th April.
A new home for South London’s iconic sarnies

If you’ve ever queued for a Mondo Frango or savoured their Everything Cutlet, you’ll know these guys don’t mess around.
MONDO TO GO will pack all of Mondo Sando’s signature creations into a quick-fire takeaway format – same punchy flavours, just faster service.
Expect classics like the Mondo Combo, House Pickles, and Latkes, plus a few Deptford-only exclusives that won’t even appear on the menus at The Grove House Tavern or Café Mondo.
It’s not all about the bread. The Mondo crew will be slinging pints, slushies, and a rotating range of house-made sodas and lemonades – from grapefruit green tea to spiced apple and cherry lemonade. Ideal for washing down a sando in the sun (or sheltering from a London downpour).
MONDO TO GO – a slice of retro café charm

Designed by Tom Cummings, the creative behind Café Mondo, the new spot stays true to the brand’s playful aesthetic: bold primary colours, diner nostalgia, and a touch of humour including a mini exhibit from the Museum of Stones.
Inside, it’s all about grab-and-go convenience, while 50 outdoor seats offer a prime perch for sandwich appreciation once the weather warms up.
Co-founders Jack Macrae and Viggo Blegvad have built quite the following with their knack for “selling nice sandwiches,” following stints at various South London pubs and the beloved Grove House Tavern. This new Deptford outpost marks their first dedicated grab-and-go shop, expanding their reach to new sandwich-starved postcodes across the SE area.
And if you can’t make it down to Deptford? Don’t panic, MONDO TO GO will also deliver via their website and Uber Eats.
MONDO TO GO opens Friday 10th April 2026 in Deptford and with half-price food all weekend, it’s the perfect excuse to plan your next sandwich pilgrimage.
