As a prelude to the highly awaited Record Store Day taking place all over the country this weekend, the team have partnered up with Brad Pitt’s rosé brand to offer music and wine lovers the chance to pick a mystery record to take home, and enjoy a glass of Studio by Miraval Rosé. All for less than the price of a Pret sandwich.
The pop-up takes place at Unit 11 of the Truman Brewery, right opposite Rough Trade East off Brick Lane, on Wednesday, April 17. The pop-up will be open 9am-5:30pm and is an opportunity to celebrate the simple joys of vinyl and drinking rosé on a (hopefully) sunny day. Not only that, but all proceeds will be donated to War Child and CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).
The vinyl records will all be brand new, and range from limited editions to rare collectibles. But of course you won’t know what you’re getting until you’ve handed over your cash, as each record will be disguised with a Studio by Miraval outer sleeve. There’ll also be a special Golden Disc, and whoever is lucky enough to pick that one from the shelves will walk away with a limited edition Le Magnum Bluetooth Speaker, designed in collaboration with Miraval.
Record Store Day is a yearly celebration of vinyl and the culture of independent record stores; hundreds of which will be celebrating this special day on Saturday, April 20. Exclusive vinyl releases are made especially for the day, and you can expect shops all around the country (and the world, actually) to host special events and performances to mark what has become one of the most-anticipated moments on the music calendar.
