Mike D has just announced his first-ever solo shows in Europe, with the Beastie Boys man taking to London for two nights at 26 Leake Street on June 5 & 6.
Alongside the London date, the legendary rapper will take to Berlin, Porto, Paris and more, which follows news of shows in the US.
Mike D has already played a handful of solo shows across the US, but in his first-ever tour of Europe, he’ll take to some intimate venues, which comes after the release of his first solo track, Switch Up. So, with that in mind, we can hope to hear his own material, with the likely expectation of some Beastie Boys tracks in the setlist too.
Beastie Boys last played the UK in 2007, with performances at Besitval coming after gigs at Brixton Academy and the Roundhouse in London. The legendary band last performed together in the US in 2009.
Mike D’s new track marks the first music from any member of the Beastie Boys since their last record, Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, which was released a year before the passing of Adam “MCA” Yauch in 2012.
