The school holidays are hurtling towards us at a rather alarming rate, which means that it’s time to start jam-packing those diaries with all manner of summery shenanigans. But if you’re a panicked parent feeling at a bit of a loss for ways to keep the little ones entertained for six entire weeks, fear not. Because I come bearing a fun-filled, family-friendly activity that is sure to have you all – quite literally – jumping for joy.
One of the biggest bouncy castles in the world will be bouncing into the UK next month, courtesy of Mega Bounce and Braintree Village. Just an hour outside of London, the enormous inflatable paradise will be popping up for the six-week summer holidays – ready to induce squeals of delight by the turret-load.
Mega Bounce, Braintree Village
Having first launched in Dubai over 10 years ago, Mega Bounce will be making its debut in the UK next month. The gargantuan bouncy castle will span a whopping 2,500 square-metres (bigger than two football pitches put together) and stand at a rather impressive 8-metres tall. The inflatable playground will feature the likes of blow-up characters, multi-storey slides, obstacle courses, sports challenges, and – of course – areas that’ll be dedicated entirely to bouncing.
Each day, there will be three session types available. There will be quiet sessions in the mornings, offering a calmer experience with no music and less people. Throughout the day, there will be sessions that are suitable for all ages, featuring music, lighting effects, giant screens, and entertainment zones. And in the evenings, Mega Bounce will be serving up adult-only sessions, where visitors can expect to find a fully-stocked bar and live DJs to keep them entertained as they bounce.
