Back in July 2021, McDonald’s announced they would be offering NHS staff 20% food as a thank you for their heroic efforts during the pandemic. This has been particularly pronounced as of late, with the presence of the Omicron Variant leading to a significant rise in cases.
The offer was said to be temporary, but today the fast food chain has confirmed that they will continue to run the discount for all of 2022.
Now, the offer is being run through the NHS Discount Offers scheme, which means staff can apply for the discount when ordering online.
NHS workers can simply sign up to the McDonald’s app with their NHS email address to get the money off, and the offer will appear in the app’s deal section within 48-hours of registration.
David Bater, marketing executive at NHS Discount Offers, said: “This is a great start to the New Year for NHS staff who work in difficult and testing conditions all year round.
“Staff members take advantage of this money saving offer from McDonald’s as you can make significant savings. Its a really kind gesture from this well known UK brand and its great news they’ve extended the offer until the end of 2022”
If you want more than one Maccies in one week however, you’ll have to pay full price for any orders after the first feast. Don’t worry, though. The offer will refresh and update each Monday for you to take advantage.
