I don’t know about you, but I’m rather looking forward to a future in which we can’t move for delicious street food halls. Indeed, Canary Hall will be pretty blessed when this one pitches up, as it’ll join the Street Feast outpost at Crossrail Place Roof Garden. Market Halls Canary Wharf is slated to go in the leisure and office space known as Cargo, set to open in late 2020.
At this early stage, there’s no word on the traders who might be pitching up, but Market Halls have displayed a talent for attracting cult eateries and new ventures alike. In the meantime, Eater slyly notes that the Elizabeth line is set to arrive in Canary Wharf at the same time – although we all know how well that’s going. Mind you, if we suddenly get a fancy new tube line and a street food hall in one go, I get the feeling we won’t be complaining…
