You can now up your tea game as Covent Garden powerhouse Mariage Frères has opened its doors once again.
Throughout the lockdown, the famous Mariage Frères remained closed in line with government advice. But now, they have opened up their Covent Garden spot for customers to get a lovely takeaway brew. Breathe a sigh of relief and relax with one of their beautiful blends!
Mariage Frères is a vintage-style, gourmet tea spot initially founded in Paris back in 1854. Now, hidden away inside a beautiful five-storey Georgian townhouse in central London, it’s home to the largest tea collection in the world. They stock 1,000 varieties from 36 different countries—and they’re all available to purchase by weight. They are stored in an apothecary style-wall that houses the ginormous collection.

The restaurant will remain closed until government policy allows them to reopen fully. However, customers will be allowed to safely purchase the tea they’ve missed, either by the bag or in loose leaf form. This is what everyone really wanted to stockpile, wasn’t it?
Mariage Frères will also serve hot and iced teas alongside their most popular gift sets and paraphernalia.
