It’s the simple comforts from our daily routines that we miss the most during this period. And not being able to get a cup of proper coffee from our favourite cafés is high on this list. 1. St Paul, Islington

2. Lucia’s Coffee House, Wood Green
Lucia’s Coffee House is a local champion with its own unique “403” blend. This dates back to the phone number of Lucia’s Roastery, a 1920s coffee house in Cyprus well known for serving the best blend in town. Today, this little café in Wood Green pays homage to Lucia by serving delicious 403 coffee that’s available for takeaway now.

Bread and Bean on Junction Road reopened for takeaway four weeks ago and it’s been glorious for locals. Their eye-catching, frothy flat whites are back on sale—and combined with their soft pastries, you’re always onto a winner.

4. Brickwood, Clapham
It’s convenient that the sun is out across Britain, just as we’ve been legally permitted to sit in the sun and take in the rays. What better way to enjoy this privilege than a beautiful, takeaway iced coffee from Brickwoods in Clapham? They’ve been open for the past two weeks and they’re covering all your caffeine needs.

Old Spike sits in Peckham Rye and serves a devilishly good flat white. It’s back open, following a 1-in-1-out policy, from 9am-5pm every day. Spike some proper coffee into your life and don’t look back at your inferior home blends.

6. Stir Coffee, Brixton
Brixton Hill favourites Stir Coffee have reopened their site as a takeaway-only spot. It’s the perfect place to refuel your day and grab a frothy beverage to enjoy in the sun.

7. Cable Co., Hammersmith and Kensal Rise
This lovely independent coffee shop serves an awesome selection of brews and bakes. They’ve got a delicious menu of seasonal guest espressos, alongside a bespoke Colombian coffee from Climpson & Sons as their House blend. Oh and their ‘Nitro’ cold brew is an absolute winner on a sunny day! Cable Co. also has a gorgeous ‘Lovewall’ painted by Los Angeles based artist James Goldcrown on its shutters—so it’s worth a visit even when it’s shut!
