For those that are unaware, the – erm – questionable mound in Marble Arch will cease to exist after this weekend. From Sunday, January 9, visitors will no longer be able to climb the maligned “tourist attraction” which is said to have cost £6 million.
Ever since its first public appearance – after which it shut for two days and its initial £4.50 charge was dropped (good start) – the landmark has basically become an internent meme. So, in fitting fashion, here’s a few more before the mound leaves us.
The Marble Arch Mound.
As always, we do need a controversial one in here…
Controversial opinion: if we gave the Marble Arch mound more time to flourish and the trees/plants to grow, I think it could actually end up looking quite nice. Just needs to get a bit more overgrown

Word of warning, though…
The Marble Arch Mound closes this weekend. Don't all rush there at once.

A topical one, that’s for sure
simply build a tennis court on top of the Marble Arch Mound and put Novak Djokovic up there

There’s still time!
Gutted I never made it down to London to see that Marble Arch mound thing. I bet it looks even worse in person.

Many were oblivious…
I didn't even know there was a massive mound at Marble Arch, let alone that it shut two days after it opened, cost millions and has been dubbed London's "worst ever tourist attraction." The delights of being a Londoner.
