A Hidden Cocktail Bar That Offers Bottomless Bao Has Reopened In Mayfair • The Lucky Club

Are you feeling lucky?

Over in Mayfair. it’s not exactly a secret that you can’t move for bougie cocktail bars. And yet, even among the crowd, there’s still space for a hidden spot to take up a residence.

Having opened for the first time just prior to lockdown in 2020, The Lucky Club has reopened in a rare withdrawn spot on Davies Street. Just a minute from Bond Street Station, it’ll take the shortest of walks before you’re tucking into fine Asian bao washed down with cocktails and coffee.

So, I hear you say, there’s coffee and cocktails… Yes, that means they are well-versed in the city’s favourite cocktail – the espresso martini. You’ll find a whopping EIGHT different variations on the form, including drool-worthy chocolate orange, matcha and cacao, and forest gateau editions.

Plus, for those non-caffeine heads out there, The Lucky Club serve up other mean classics such as a mean chilli mango margarita and a sweet Manhattan.

Let’s also turn your attention to the grub, which includes small plates such as hoi sin wings, chicken karaage burger and brownies with miso caramel. The Lucky Club even offers a delightful bottomless bao brunch (£38.50), which guarantees you espresso martinis, prosecco and lucky marys (spicy kimchi twisted Bloody Mary) on tap, as well as unlimited plates of mouthwatering bao.

Brian Hook, co-founder of The Lucky Club said: “We’re not saying come to our cocktail bar and you’ll leave a renewed happier person, but now more than ever, we feel London needs a gentle undercurrent of positive vibes; and we want to be part of that movement.

“The Lucky Club is here to champion that in people and in ourselves; it’s a small independently owned company in a constant pursuit of gentle happiness; we mix good people, good food and good times, so we’re inviting guests to come and be part of that.”

The Lucky Club is also preparing to open a second London location, in the form of an LA rooftop bar, in Autumn 2021.
