Thameslink services have been added to the Tube map.
It’s a new year, and a new look for the Tube map! And for good reason; Transport for London (TfL) has added the Thameslink to the infamous map to help Londoners get from A to B more seamlessly during the pandemic. All Thameslink services within Zones 1 to 6, including Dartford and Swanley have been included. The updated maps are now installed in London’s Underground stations, whilst the pocket Tube map, the TfL website and the TfL app have all been updated with the new addition. The Thameslink operates a through London service and will therefore give passengers more efficient travel options. This is also an attempt to encourage Londoners to use public transport more often in order to reduce the risk of a car-led recovery post-pandemic. That’s a win win if you ask me. And you can also rest assured that all TfL services are Covid-secure and frequently sanitised.

Managing director of Thameslink, Tom Moran, said “We’re delighted that Thameslink stations across London have been temporarily added to the iconic tube map, particularly those in areas of south east and north London that are now appearing for the first time.
“Adding Thameslink services will be especially helpful now and…will mean every passenger can see all the connections available to them in one place. Thameslink is a great option for passengers in London, with trains every few minutes, a journey time from St Pancras to London Bridge of under 15 minutes and accessible stations.”
It looks like 2021 is already off to a great start!
