It’s nice to get out of London every once in a while, and there are plenty of places across the UK that make brilliant options for a quick escape. The only issue we can come to face is the price, which makes finding a bargain all the more satisfying.
A new route on the Megabus means that travellers can get from London to Devon for a tenner, making the option for a cheap summer holiday all the more viable in this part of England; with Cornwall also nearby at your fingertips.
The Megabus route runs from London to Plymouth, and the newly-launched journey will also take you through Bristol, Exeter, and Taunton, meaning there plenty of viable and cheap options for a trip out of London. The services began last week on June 27, and runs two services (first London to Plymouth, then the return) each day between Thursday – Monday. If you’re heading for a break out of London, you’ll leave the Big Smoke from Victoria Coach Station at 3:30pm for a 9:30pm arrival in Plymouth, and your return will set off away from Devon at 7am for a 1pm arrival back in the big smoke.
If you snap up spaces fast enough, you’ll be looking at a roundtrip between London and Devon for under 20 quid, with one-way tickets clocking in at just £9.99 a pop for the cheapest spots!
