London’s original Tequila and Mezcal Fest is returning with bells on for its eight-year running. Endorsed by the Mexican embassy and the Secretary of Economic Development of Jalisco (SEDECO), this two day fiesta will be filled with Mexican food, Mariachi, and small batch mezcal and tequila made by traditional producers from all over Mexico.
Coming to Studio 9294 in Hackney Wick on September 8 and 9, its bound to be a dream day out for any tequila enthusiast. Discover over twenty brands of the finest agave spirits, all making their debut into the UK market by SEDECO. They will each be showcased in cocktail form, so expect to fill your boots with plenty of Margaritas and Palomas. You’re going to need at least a few of them, you know, for research purposes… as well as to wash down all the tacos from Chingón Tacos, of course.
Tequila and Mezcal Fest is not all about the drinking, I should add. There will also be ample opportunities for learning, with masterclasses hosted by renowned tequila and mezcal experts taking place over the two days.
Founder Eduardo Gomez says: “I am so excited to be back for our eighth year in London. We will be exhibiting Tequila and Mezcal brands that have only ever been available to purchase in Mexico. Both spirits are an integral part of Mexican culture, Mezcal and Tequila has been meticulously perfected by generations of passionate families all over Mexico. I am proud that Tequila and Mezcal Fest will serve as a platform for these incredible specialists to showcase their products, and most importantly tell their story. I am also honoured to be working very closely with SEDECO as the official Mexican fair for spirits in the UK, bringing the public a taste of Mexican culture through these incredible spirits, it’s a real honour and dream come true to see all these brands in the UK as a first”.
