There are few things in life more satisfying than sunsets and fortunately, we know that London Town is full to the brim of spots in which to watch the sun go down – from Primrose Hill to the UNESCO-listed Greenwich Park and from Ally Pally to the top of the bloody O2 Arena. But now it’s been confirmed that our beloved capital is also one of the most photogenic destinations in the world to watch the sunset too.
The findings come from Titan Travel, an expert travel company who analysed social data from the world’s most popular social platforms – Instagram and TikTok – to create a new study allowing them to rank the world’s best sunset spots, as crowned by the public!
London came in sixth behind Bali, Santorini, Ibiza, Maui and San Diego, with a total of a whopping 84,784 different Instagram posts. The British capital also came in fourth place behind Santorini, Bali and Paris for the most-viewed sunset spots, racking up 11.4 million views on platform-of-the-moment TikTok.
So, what better time to grab a can of the cold stuff or a bottle of ‘seccy (and maybe your date) and go and watch the sun go down over some of the world’s most iconic buildings then? Just make sure the old phone is charged…
