The London Dessert Festival is coming, and you’d better bring your sweet tooth.
Yes, we all scream for ice cream, but what do you do when it’s ice cream, cake, donuts, macaroons, milkshakes, and pretty much every dessert under the sun on the menu? Screaming doesn’t quite capture our excitement enough, because The London Dessert Festival is next-level indulgence – and tickets are available now!
You’re promised a wave of sensory experiences, with each one further amping up the sugary hit. That includes designer donuts, ice cream sandwiches, cookie shots, “gravity-defying milkshakes”, and a host of vegan and sugar-free creations too. Wander through four zones – a Frozen Dessert Zone, a Chocolate Zone, a Patisserie Zone, and a very on-trend Vegan Zone – and you’ll find your appetite increasing with every step.
For instance, the Chocolate Zone will be home to a melting chocolate wall, chocolate infused tasting orbs, and a quartet of top-notch chocolatiers. The Patisserie Zone features a huge doughnut wall and cherry blossoms everywhere, whilst the Frozen Zone boasts a wall of ice lollies, and a waterfall of sprinkles. T-t-t-tasty!
Big names from the dessert world will be in attendance, from revered chocolatier Paul A Young, culinary whiz Nicolas Rouzaud, and top pastry chef Helen Clark, from PF Chang’s. Meanwhile, brands like Mallow & Marsh, Miki’s Paradise, and Brooklyn Cakery London will be on hand for added sweetness. The festival will also welcome dessert influencers (dream job) and as you’d expect from anything happening in 2019, the whole thing will be nicely Instagrammable. That’s the way the cookie crumbles, isn’t it?
Adding a naughty adult twist to proceedings are dessert-themed cocktails, although mocktails are available for those who’d prefer to limit their indulgence purely to dessert. You’ll find festival at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, from August 17-18th – and honestly, you donut want to miss out!
