Going on holiday is great and all, but there’s one thing that’s always a pain, and you know what I’m talking about. Those long journey to and from the airport that bookend your trips and don’t half start grating after a while.
It makes sense, therefore, to make sure you find the closest airport possible to cut that time down to the minimum. That is easier said than done in London, though, with Gatwick, Stansted and Luton far out of the centre, and cheap deals at Heathrow often snapped up in rapid fashion.
But there is another airport, easily accessible on the DLR (23 minutes from the City of London), that hardly anyone seems to use? Of course, we’re talking about London City Airport, who have handily released a batch of cheap flights to popular destinations.
If you’re looking for a convenient journey to Barcelona, Milan, Faro, Thessaloniki or Mykonos, you might be in luck. British Airways have released deals for this summer at these holiday hubs, a different approach to their usual business-led routes to destinations like Zurich, Frankfurt and Geneva.
Due to runway limitations, only smaller aircrafts can take off at city, so you’ll need to be quick on these deals. BA’s CityFlyer planes are offering space at a competitive price, and you can browse them on their website now.
Deals on flights to Milan start as early as March 27, with the routes to the other hotspots kicking off in the middle of June.
