The flatmates of The Little Yellow Door have a swish new pad.
Spring may be a time for new beginnings, but right now, we’re excited for the return of an old favourite. After a while spent apart, the fab flatmates that made The Little Yellow Door one of London’s favourite pop-ups are back together. The door is opening once more on April 10th – but this time, in the immortal words of Take That, they’re Back For Good.
Having taken a while off – and opened an upstart friendly rival, The Little Blue Door – the band is back together for a brand new adventure. With the same colour door, of course. After a fortuitous inheritance from a great aunt, the flatmates are now living it up on All Saints Road, complete with charmingly mismatched furniture.
The Little Yellow Door is hiding two floors of fun, including a range of tempting cocktails named after the flatmate’s DVD collection. For instance, the Kill Bill is a particularly potent blend of Earl Grey infused Bombay Sapphire gin, lemon curd, and thyme.
Over in the kitchen, guests will benefit from a highly competitive flatmate cook-off; a monthly changing menu which sees two cuisines go head to head, and the winner remaining on for the next month. There’s also a bar menu with the likes of woodfired bavette steak with chimichurri, and pork belly and peanut bao buns.
Weekends are a similarly foodie affair, with a Saturday bottomless brunch and a Sunday roast in the offing. To work off all the calories, you can shake a tailfeather in The Flatmate’s Den, a hidden basement spot complete with dance floor, poker tables, and retro games. Plus, if you’re a regular guest at the Little Yellow Door, you’ll get a personalised shot mug and your own key for entry. These flatmates are friends definitely worth having!
