Islington’s favourite cocktail bar, Little Bat, has launched a brand new brunch menu with a DIY Bloody Mary trolley.
If you’re drinking Bloody Marys, it’s generally a sign that you had a good night the night before. But why must the good times come to an end? Keep ’em rolling and head to Little Bat for a rejuvenating boozy brunch. Hair of the dog and all that…
The new menu is available all-day on Saturdays and Sundays and you can expect all the brunch classics, as well as some more original dishes. There’ll be a selection of small bites to start, including Roasted cauliflower and smoked cheddar croquettes and Fish nuggets with prawn mayo, as well as larger meals such as Fried chicken and waffles with avocado and egg and Baked ricotta with a hazelnut crust and asparagus.
But, moving swiftly on to the booze. Opt to go bottomless for £25, and quench your thirst with unlimited prosecco, mimosas or Bloody Marys. Or, for £10, you can make your own Bloody Mary from the DIY trolley, using your choice of ingredients from a list of fresh tomato, carrot or beetroot juice, bacon strips, celery salt, horseradish, turmeric, Worcestershire sauce, etc.
If neither take your fancy, simply take your pic from the brunch-time cocktail menu. Go for the Breakfast Club with Portobello gin, pampelle, cocchi rosa and lemon, or the Elevenses with McVities’ Digestive Rumbullion, tea and a shot of Fair cacao liqueur served on the side.
The brand new brunch offering follows Little Bat’s sparkly new makeover, which has brought more light and summery vibes to the bar. We’re talking palm print armchairs and a disco bar: the perfect interiors to suit the chilled 80s soundtrack.
Location: Little Bat, 54 Islington Park Street, N1 1PX. See it on Google Maps.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Thursday 5–11pm, Friday 5pm–1am, Saturday 10am–1am, Sunday 10am–6pm. Closed Mondays. (Brunch is served any time from 10am–5pm every Saturday and Sunday.)
