More KERB-stompingly good food awaits.
Of the many perks of working at Secret London, one of the best – and incidentally, the biggest threat to my waistline – is having an office above KERB‘s Camden Market. Lunchtime is never dull, so long as my bank account can take the hit (spoiler alert: it usually can’t). Since arriving on the London street food market scene in 2012, KERB have spruced up the city’s fast food offerings, and now they’re expanding, with another two markets arriving in the space of two weeks.
Their next rollout comes on August 25th, with the launch of KERB at Hornsey Town Hall. Crouch End’s newest market will bring the big guns to this slice of North London, as well as heroing local talent. BBQ Dreamz, Baggio Burger, and The Beefsteaks are amongst the first wave of vendors cooking up a storm here. They’re also inviting local makers and producers to contribute to the market, in order to make it a community event, every Saturday between 11am and 4pm. It’s all part of the current redevelopment of Hornsey Town Hall, and we can’t help that wish all regeneration products involved copious amounts of street food.
Down south, KERB will be opening a new joint in Peckham on September 1st. Occupying the railway arches beneath Peckham Rye station, they’ll be collaborating with local residents Peckham Springs, Brick Brewery, and Little Bird Gin. Expect the drinks to flow pretty freely at this one… Again, local arts, crafts, and produce will make an appearance, whilst food comes from the likes of Growlers and Club Mexicana. Find it every Saturday from 11am-4pm.
Honestly, it’s never been easier for the good folks of Crouch End and Peckham to KERB their hunger each weekend. BA-DUM-TISH!
