Calling all fun-seeking Londoners: following the success of their Shoreditch branch, Junkyard Golf Club will be adding a splash of colour to Camden Market this summer as they take over the former Shaka Zulu with their tee-riffic second London venue.
Set to open in August, this will be the largest Junkyard Golf Club to date and promises to provide an unforgettable golfing adventure across four quirky and imaginative courses: Dirk (a techno nightmare within an abandoned warehouse), Pablo (a tropical terror involving Mexican wrestling bears and pirate speedboats – sorry, what?), Gary (a trip down memory lane with disco balls, scrap metal and a UV disco room), and Bozo (a super creepy circus fairground themed course).
Having first opened its doors in Manchester, with a course made entirely out of E-Bay and charity shop finds (turns out that one man’s trash really is another man’s treasure); Junkyard Golf Club now has seven sites scattered across the UK, all sporting their signature rough-around-the-edges, neon-splattered aesthetic.
Sinking holes-in-one (or at least giving it your best shot) is thirsty work so it’s a good job that the Camden site will also be home to whopping four bars (one of which spans an entire floor), so you can celebrate your win or commiserate your loss with one of the creative concoctions available on their impressive cocktail menu. There will also be an array of tasty snacks on hand for refueling between rounds and keeping you at the top of your game.
The new venue will also offer a dedicated corporate space, ideal for businesses looking for a unique setting for their team-building day or Christmas party (or should I say par-tee? No, I absolutely shouldn’t).
Bold decor, brilliant courses, banging tunes and bespoke cocktails? It’s a match made in crazy-golf heaven. Round up your pals, grab a golf club and get ready to have a truly par-fect time.
