When we heard the news that June Brown had passed away we were devastated, and we still are. She was an iconic woman and she graced our screens for 32 years as the chain-smoking, unwaveringly kind committed Christian Dot Cotton on Eastenders and her character touched the hearts of people across the country.
She passed peacefully at her home in London on Sunday but those of us who have grown up watching her on our screens will always remember her and now there is somewhere for fans to go and pay their tributes to the star. The incredibly talented Gnasher has managed to create a beautiful mural in just 2 hours on a Moray Wall wall in Romford and people are already flocking to admire the artwork and the woman who inspired it.
We can’t quite believe the detail that Gnasher has managed to incorporate into this amazing mural, with the words ‘for June’ painted by her image. June was born in Needham Market in Suffolk in 1927 and later moved to London. In her 95 years of life, she certainly left a mark on the world.
