Judas Priest have just gone ahead and announced a massive headline show in London for later in the year. The legendary heavy metal band from Birmingham will take to the Hammersmith Apollo on Monday, September 21, as part of the ‘Faithkeepers’ tour in Europe.
Their London show is announced as a standalone indoor UK performance, with no other dates announced on the ‘Faithkeepers’ tour. They’ll be supported by US heavy metal band, Nevermore.
It’ll come shortly after Judas Priest top the bill at Bloodstock Open Air Festival in Derbyshire on the Sunday night (August 9), closing the event after fellow headliners Saxon, Lamb Of God, and Slaughter To Prevail perform across the weekend at the metal festival.
Judas Priest’s last record came in the form of Invincible Shield, which dropped in 2024 and marked the band’s 19th studio album. They’re approaching 60 years as a band, having formed in Birmingham in 1969, and are regarded as one of the great heavy metal bands, with ever-present songs in the genre, including Breaking The Law and Painkiller. You can catch them drawing from their whole back catalogue at live shows.
Their most recent London show came last year with a performance at the O2 Arena with Alice Cooper on the ‘Shield Of Pain’ tour.
