Perched atop John Lewis & Partners on London’s Oxford Street“]Oxford Street[/trackLink], you’ll find a twinkling winter wonderland – a festive transformation of the gorgeous 1864 Rooftop Bar & Kitchen.
You’ll need to weave your way through the bustling department store in search of the right lift to take you up to the sixth floor, but once you’re there, you’ll feel miles away from the madness. Book yourself an igloo for some festive feasting, or grab a blanket and cosy up with a Chocolate Orange Martini or a boozy hot chocolate in hand.
The private igloos are bookable for groups of up to eight, and they’re the perfect spot for a catch up with friends in the lead up to Christmas. But there’s also indoor and outdoor tables available to book, as well as standing areas for more casual drinks.
Groups of six or more can opt for a feasting menu designed by Benugo chefs, featuring pigs in blankets, butternut squash & truffle risotto, braised beef cheek & creamy polenta, and chocolate & olive oil mousse with cherry compote. Otherwise, the regular menu includes the likes of chorizo croquetas with manchego, rosemary sweet potato fries, or pulled chicken with a bunch of delicious trimmings.
There will be live DJs on Friday and Saturday nights, and of course some stunning views of the Christmas lights down below. Plenty of reason to head to John Lewis then, besides your Christmas shopping, of course.
Opening hours are 12-10pm (Monday to Saturday), 12-9pm (Sundays). For more information and to book head to their website.
