Bottomless brunch is all well and good – but it’s a bit… well… predictable, isn’t it? So, if you’re looking for a unique alternative to the brunching experience or you’ve got the ultimate sweet tooth, we’ve got just the spot for you. Jack and Beyond is a charming little bakery and cafe in Battersea that specialises in cake. And for the saccharine sweet among you, they offer up an incredible bottomless cake experience.
That’s right – this London bakery will allow you to rock up, take a seat, and enjoy a never-ending procession of cake slices. And since they specialise in cakes, you know they’re going to be delicious. The menu is seasonal, but could include everything from Red Velvet Cake to Pistachio & Raspberry Cake and their irresistible Cheesecakes. There are always at least 6-7 cakes to choose from, so you can try out everything as you munch your way through bottomless cake.
Now, we’re not afraid of a challenge – so we went down to see how much cake we could put away. Unfortunately, we were quickly humbled by the bottomless cake…
A ticket to sweet cake-y paradise costs just £25, and they’ll keep the slices coming for up to 90 minutes. Plus, on the day, you can enjoy a 20% discount on all products purchased from the shop (excluding Bespoke Cakes). Because, sure, you might be sick of cake at the end, but your friends and family will want to try some!
More than just bottomless cake
But Jack and Beyond don’t just stop at bottomless cake. They also offer ‘Afternoon Tea & Bottomless Hot Drinks’. (They really hate to stop when they get started, I guess!) Naturally, it’s a sweet-focused afternoon tea, which treats guests to a selection of their “bestselling brownies and macarons, handmade sweet & savoury mini scones and bottomless teas”. It’s also only £25pp, a far sight cheaper than many of London’s afternoon teas.
You can even get your best furry friend involved (your dog, that is, not just your hirstute pals – although they’re also welcome). Jack and Beyond has a paw-some ‘Dog Afternoon Tea’ for your puppy pal – available alongside any humans enjoying their own afternoon tea. The menu features handmade doggie treats, such as a Carrot Pupcake and the Banana Wooffin. Dogs even get their very own bottomless offering in the form of never-ending water and Puppuccinos (made with lactose-free milk).
