We might be getting a little too familiar with writing about outdoor events now that summer is on our doorstep. If you’re team indoor warehouse all the way, though, we have some news for you too.
Ironworks, a brand new venue concept beside the River Thames in East London, is landing in October, with six shows lined up at the 7,000 capacity warehouse space.

When it opens for the limited run of music later in the year, those attending will be dancing at the former site of the Thames Ironworks and shipbuilding yards, as has been given a nod to in the name of the venue.
It’s in development right now, but there is a full series of events to look ahead to for London’s post-summer raves. As well as the 7,000 capacity space, those attending an event at Ironworks can also expect to wander out onto the open-air terrace for views over the Thames.
What we know about Ironworks so far
We’ve got our first look at the venue, and judging by the shots, it ticks all the warehouse boxes, with an industrial feel with pillars across the space. Developed by LWE, who are known for the likes of Printworks, Turnmills, and Tobacco Dock, Ironworks promises to house the type of production we’d expect to see at a festival with the more tucked-in feel of a warehouse rave.
If we’ve learned anything about London nightlife over the years, it’s that there is always demand for parties in this type of space. LWE have partnered with PROJEKT to deliver Ironworks to give London another dose of the style of large-scale club night that many seek out on the weekend.
There is no word on which artists will be appearing at Ironworks just yet, but given the calibre of names that have appeared at LWE’s previous ventures and the size of the space in question, we can expect some huge names. More details on lineups is due to follow in June.
