Inca London. Part high-end restaurant, part cabaret show – and a whole lot of fun as a dining experience. Located on Argyll Street, next to the London Palladium and not far from Oxford Circus, this restaurant lets the hustle and bustle of central London melt away as you step through their doors, and instead transports you to vibrant Latin America.
Throughout September only, you can experience their carefully curated menu ‘Flor Del Sol’, which will specifically transport you to seven countries: Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Cuba. What’s more, Inca London is about pleasing all the senses; not only will you get your fill of delicious (and beautifully presented) dishes and drinks, but you’ll feast your eyes and ears on jubilant live entertainment too.
Why should you try this menu at Inca London?
Flor de sol translates as sunflower and, well, you can definitely expect a sunny experience at Inca London. The venue takes its inspiration from the Incan fascination with light and dark, and the sun and moon. Think Latin-inspired artwork, softly-lit features, and centre stage, a performance area, where the theatrical entertainment takes place. Expect singers, dancers, and live DJs to keep you entertained throughout dinner and beyond.
With set menus ranging in price point, and options catering to halal, vegan, and vegetarian requirements too, there’s sure to be a menu to delight your tastebuds. Dishes include the likes of hot smoked tomato, with aji amarillo mayo, chives, and shaved truffle; salmon jalapeno tacos, with dried miso and crispy leek; and wagyu picanha, with refried rice and beans (depending on the menu chosen).
As for drinks, these too pay homage to the countries of Latin America. There is a bountiful list of spirits, including authentic mezcal options, plus beer, wine, and twists on classic cocktails. If you’d like to specifically honour one (or more) of the seven countries that inspire ‘Flor Del Sol’, you’re in luck: the cocktail list separates the serves by country.
Inca London’s ‘Flor Del Sol’ menu is available until the end of September, every Wednesday to Sunday. Depending on your group size, the set menu will last between two and three hours, and of course, is rounded off with dessert. South America might be a world away from central London, but once you’re through the doors at Inca, you’ll feel as if you’ve stumbled into a hidden nightlife hangout of Buenos Aires, or Rio de Janeiro.
