Have you ever wished you could do something – anything! – creative, but bemoaned the cost of buying supplies? Want to paint? You’ll need the easel, some brushes, and paint, just to get started. The same goes for virtually any creative endeavour you can think of. Sure, you could, in theory, just grab a pencil and some paper and start drawing or writing. But what if you want to explore the full breadth of creativity? That’s where Angel’s new creativity venture, Imperfect Art, comes in.
Imperfect Art is here to bring another much-needed third space to London, to allow us all to explore our creative sides. What is a third space, you might ask? It’s the sort of community-focused place where people can gather without pressure, providing an alternative to going home or going to work or school.

Importantly, as the name suggests, Imperfect Art is about the creativity itself, without the pressure of creating “perfect art”. It’s a space to explore the “fun, freedom, and embracing the joy of making something—without the pressure of perfection.” And founder Linda Savinova has actively worked to create a cosy space where everyone feels welcome to create – “from complete beginners to seasoned creatives”.
Art sessions at Imperfect Art
So, what’s the deal? How does it all work? It’s simple! Book a slot for one of the art café sessions, and when you attend, you can enjoy 2 hours of creative time. You don’t need to bring anything, because art supplies, gentle guidance, and unlimited tea, coffee, and biscuits are all included.
There are also optional add-ons for those looking for unique creative outlets. These range from friendship bracelets to collages, pressed flowers, and even extra time. There’s no pressure, either, with add-ons available when booking or on the day!

You can join the sessions with a friend, or rock up solo to let out your creative energy and chat to like-minded people. For a chilled-vibes art session, the team recommends a weekday off-peak session. But if you’re keen to get social and chatty throughout, the evening and weekend sessions are busier with “more social energy”.
Imperfect Art also hosts regular special events, from candle painting workshops to ‘Sunday Clay Club’, tote bag painting brunch, and more. Keep an eye on their socials to find out more.
📍 You’ll find Imperfect Art at 5 Torrens Street, EC1V 1NQ. The nearest station is Angel.
