With a recent success at Manchester Cathedral, LUMINISCENCE is finally brightening up the capital city. In a strictly limited-run event, you will be able to see a one-of-a-kind light and sound spectacle that has captivated people all around the globe.
Using advanced 3D modelling and projection technology, every architectural detail is recreated with remarkable precision. The concert is guaranteed to sweep you away with an incredible musical and visual adventure inside one of the most majestic landmarks in the city.

What can you expect at LUMINISCENCE in London?
LUMINISCENCE isn’t just another immersive show; it’s a high-tech adventure through time. With immaculate Neo-Byzantine walls of John Francis Bentley’s masterpieces, the show uses the cathedral’s columns and over 100 varieties of marble as canvas.
Prepare for a narrative, voiced by legendary London-born Downton Abbey actor Hugh Bonneville. The show follows a specially commissioned script by BAFTA and Olivier award-winning writer Tim Whitnall. In collaborations, they trace London’s evolution from the modest beginnings to the vibrant global success of today.
This visual masterpiece is only matched by an iconic soundtrack. LUMINISCENCE brings the Lux Aeterna choir to perform live, accompanied by the stirring works of the greatest classical music. From Beethoven to Verdi, Debussy, Vivaldi and Bach – there’s something for everyone’s taste. This combination of live voices and spatial sound technology will transport you into another world.

The wonder of the advanced technology
Expect highly advanced technology, completing the cathedral itself. For over 120 years, many of Westminster Cathedral’s vast domes and upper columns have remained bare due to a historic lack of funding. With LUMINISCENCE, everything is about to change.
Using advanced digital modelling and historical research, the experience aims to digitally recreate the mosaic-adorned domes as they once were. For the first time, you will be able to see the building’s interior in its full glory. Prepare for some of the most breathtaking visuals that close the gap between technology and history.

Following the international success across France, the USA, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, LUMINISCENCE is now in the UK. The best part about this incredible event is that a portion of every ticket goes directly to the Westminster Cathedral, ensuring to celebrate and preserve our shared heritage.
