Behold, the most ‘gram-friendly chameleon in nature.
Back in December, a pair of illuminated slugs squelched their way over Tate Britain, and we probably though it was the high point for light-up animal shenanigans. Not so, for another luminescent critter is coming to town; a eight-metre long chameleon that’ll soon be clambering up The Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane. Alright then.
The colourful creature is the work of hotel group nhow, who are opening a new branch in Shoreditch later this year. The chameleon is – and I’m quoting here – the brand’s “spirit animal”, which they are now parlaying into a colour-changing, attention-grabbing attraction.
East London’s newest art project will only be in town for a few days, arriving on August 29th and setting off for pastures new on September 1st. It obviously doesn’t camouflage quite as well as your average chameleon, but what it lacks in avoiding predators, it’ll certainly make up for in Instagram popularity.
