We’ve got two words for you: Guinness. Fondue. That’s the name of the game when it comes to Honest Burgers’ latest monthly special. Brought back from infamy to commemorate the start of the Guinness Six Nations, it’s one of those absurd burger creations that just make sense – and taste incredible to boot. It’s the perfect way to start off a night of Six Nations viewing, or for cramming in your face as you celebrate (or mourn) the results of a game.
Between the buns
So, what exactly are you in for when you order one of these? I’m going to go ahead and hand it over to the Honest Burgers team to describe the affair. I’m afraid I’m drooling far too much at their description to arrange my words in any logical way:
“This exceptional burger is filled with crispy onions, Honest beef and pickles, rocket, candied bacon, melted with the beloved Guinness fondue cheese, topped with Guinness bacon and chive gravy, and crowned with a toasted bun.”
Guinness. Fondue. Cheese. Topped. With. Guinness. Bacon! Be still my beating heart. Oh, and we didn’t even mention that it comes with fries included. We love an all-in sort of meal.
The special burger first made its mark on the burger scene last year, and we’re stoked to see it returning. The burger will be available all the way through to March 6, across all 43 of Honest Burgers’ restaurants.
Said Adam Layton, Honest Burgers Head of Food: “Our Guinness Fondue burger is a fan favourite and packed with pints and pints of the ‘black stuff’. We make beer fondue cheese with cheddar and mozzarella for the essential cheese pull shot and keep plenty of Guinness aside for our homemade stout & bacon gravy, which is of course applied liberally.”
Well, that’s one less thing to worry when the Six Nations kicks off – at least you know where and what you’ll be eating!
