Fancy an escape from London this summer? How about a trip to Japan? Well, if you can’t quite afford the plane ticket (and accommodation, and transport, and so on), why not visit a secret hidden Japanese garden in London? Tucked away inside the vaunted Nobu Hotel Shoreditch, the Nobu Bar & Terrace has been transformed into a stunning Japanese garden for you to escape the bustling city.
The acclaimed restaurant and hotel group has given the outdoor area at their East London venue a seasonal sprucing. They’ve filled it with Japanese heritage plants, surrounding diners with “cascading Star Jasmines and a stunning, sculptural Japanese Maple Tree”. And to complement the makeover, the Nobu Bar & Terrace has also launched a new Botanical Cocktail Menu, perfect for the sunny days ahead.

The new cocktails incorporate florals, herbs, and spices to reflect the changing seasons and warmer days. They range from the herbal Botanica (Suze French Liqueur, Paragon labdanum cordial, dry Nolin vermouth reduction, and Peychaud’s bitters) to the spicy El Curandero (tamarind cordial, hoja santa acidic tea brew, silver tequila, spicy coconut milk, and habanero bitters).
And while you’re there, be sure to check out the food menu. The creative takes on Nobu classics and light seasonal dishes are carefully designed for al fresco dining. Chow down on the likes of salads, tacos, poke bowls, ceviche, sliders, sushi, and sashimi.

Bottomless brunch in the Japanese Garden Escape
The space will also host Nobu’s popular bottomless brunch on Saturdays and Sundays (and Bank Holiday Mondays…). This means brunchers can enjoy the acclaimed offering alfresco for the very first time. Dig into signature Nobu dishes alongside “unlimited access to Crispy Rice, Assorted Sushi and Sashimi, Nobu Taco Bar and a handroll station”. There’s even a dessert buffet to finish things off. All that food starts to make the £90 price seem almost cheap!
Make it a brunch to remember by pairing it with one of the three bottomless drinks packages. If you’re steering clear of alcohol, opt for The Zero package (£30) for bottomless mocktails, sparkling tea, and alcohol free beer. Or you can choose between The Classic (£40 for bottomless bubbles, beer, and Kumquat Elderflower Spritz) and The Premium (£50 for never-ending Crémant, Picpoul, Soraie Cecilia Beretta, and Kumquat Elderflower Spritz).

The Japanese Garden Escape at Nobu Bar & Terrace is now open. It will be open until August 4, 2025.
