Now we’re in November, it’s that time of year when many people get out the fairy lights, make some hot chocolate and get cosy to start their yearly rewatch of the Harry Potter films.
For some families, simply watching the film isn’t enough; they need to take it one step further. In fact, a family near London has transformed one of their rooms into a mini Diagon Alley, and it is up for sale.
Eagle-eyed TikTok account Housing Horrors spotted the Harry Potter homage, and fans of the franchise couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
The house is based in Windsor, which you can get to in under an hour from London and is currently listed on RightMove for £800,000.
Inside the mini-Diagon Alley

While the rest of this three-bedroom house seems fairly normal, with quite a neutral palette for the decor, the real surprise comes from the room that comes off the dining room.
The Diagon Alley replica pays attention to the details of the famous wizarding street. It features a street name sign, Ollivanders wand shop, Florian Fortescue’s ice cream parlour and the Weasleys ‘ Wizard Wheezes joke shop. The storefronts are clearly made for children and look big enough to actually go inside each shop – what a magical experience for little ones.
It’s unclear whether or not the mockup of the street will stay at the property, but the fact it exists has got wizarding wannabes very excited. One commenter even wrote, “Imagine losing your car keys and you’ve got to search Diagon Alley for them.”

Aside from this quirky addition to the house, the Victorian property also boasts a town centre location, moments from the historic Windsor Castle, two reception rooms, a private south-facing garden and an additional loft room. The property stretches over 1,400 sq ft.
