Finally, everyone can see Hamilton.
You’d have to be living a pretty switched-off lifestyle if you haven’t heard of Hamilton yet. Talk of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hit musical has been on everyone’s lips since it was first shown back in 2015.
Tickets for performances, on the other hand, have been an entirely different ball game. It quickly became the most in-demand performance of the century, with tickets to the show likened to gold dust. When Hamilton rolled into cities across the world, the vast majority were left disappointed.
But, that’s about to change. Well, as best as it can in a locked down world. Anyone and everyone will now be able to stream the full Hamilton film. The picture wasn’t due to be released until October 2021, but, due to the ongoing COVID-19 quarantine measures, it has been fast-tracked for release on Disney+ on July 3, 2020 – and now, there’s a trailer to whet your appetite.

Disney reportedly paid a mind-melting sum of £75 million to acquire the rights to what is sure to be the hottest movie-adaptation of the year.
Hamilton is a tale of US founding father Alexander Hamilton. As an immigrant and politician, it details his rise to a vital position in shaping America’s birth, through new revolution and independence.
Debuting on Broadway in 2015, Hamilton proceeded to win 11 Tony Awards and a Pulitzer Prize for Drama. It arrived in London’s West End in 2017 where it was performed for over two years.
