“Hagridd’s Hideaway” is the ultimate glamping staycation for Harry Potter fans.
Have you been itching to escape the confines of your flat for a relaxing weekend getaway? England’s roadmap out of lockdown is well under way, which means you’ll soon be able to book that much-needed staycation. With May 17 around the corner, we can finally expect the return of indoor dining and entertainment (e.g. cinemas, play areas, theatres, concert halls), as well as hotels, hostels, and BnBs. If you’re desperate to leave our pandemic-stricken reality for a little while, we’ve got great news for you: You can now stay at a magical Harry Potter-themed glamping retreat near London, appropriately titled “Hagridd’s Hideaway” (yes, like Hagrid, just with an additional d). The glamping unit is located just an hour outside of London, at North Hill Farm in the picturesque Chess Valley countryside of Chorleywood. The lodge sleeps up to five people and has a large furnished outside area, perfect for barbecuing in the summer. But if you thought the facade was charming, wait until you step inside Hagridd’s Hideaway: Harry Potter fiends will find themselves immersed in a fantastical world as they enter the cosy home inspired by the novel and film series’ beloved character, Hagrid. Surrounded by Harry Potter-themed decor, whimsical surprises and movie-inspired details, guests can leave the real world behind and let their imagination run free.
Complete with Harry Potter-style bedding, a “bucket” overhead shower, and a rustic log burner, the hut is both quirky and comfortable, making it the ideal place to stay cooped up away from the city. It’s also conveniently located just 15 minutes from the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour, which reopens to the public on May 17. So grab your Harry Potter-obsessed pals and start planning your wondrous weekend away!
