London is no stranger to pop-ups and interesting collabs — the latest one being Arsenal and TfL — but this one we really did not see coming: In a rather surprising turn of events, Greggs have teamed up with fashion giant Primark to launch a limited-edition clothing line. And we’re… kind of here for it, I guess?
You may not have noticed it upon first glance, but if you look closely, you’ll see the mannequins holding Greggs’ beloved sausage rolls (one even cleverly placed it in their pocket). And no, the Greggs x Primark collab doesn’t come with actual snacks, this was just a sneaky promo ahead of the big launch. As of February 19, you’ll find 11 unique Greggs pieces in 60 Primark stores across the UK. But it’s not entirely random either, because according to Greggs’ Business Development Manager, Raymond Reynolds, people have been asking for branded clothing for a while now. And you know what they say, you gotta give the people what they want.
Ahead of the official launch, eager fans were able to sign up for a visit to an exclusive, appointment-only Greggs and Primark pop-up store, which opened on Dean Street in Soho on February 17 and 18. It offered shoppers a first look at the collection and two free clothing items.
