A new weekend market for green-fingered Londoners is popping up in Peckham.
Taking place in the Peckham Springs courtyard on Sunday, May 27, the all-new Green Rooms Market will bring together over 25 purveyors of the finest plants south London has to offer.
We’re talking fresh flowers, potted plants, cacti and succulents; flora that’ll thrive on your desk, on your windowsill, in a window box or planted in the garden. They’re up for a casual fling or a long-term relationship – the choice is yours. The products are provided by an all-star line-up of local floristy talent with Forest, London Terrariums and Boom Blooms just a few of the names taking part.
You’ll also be able to pick up natty plant pots, ceramics, hanging baskets and other flower-containing doo-dahs to brighten up your home or workplace.
It wouldn’t be a hip Peckham market without the traditional extras, so rest assured the Peckham Springs bar will be open, a DJ will be spinning tunes and street food folks Gabagools will be serving up handmade deli-style sarnies.
Why not combine a visit with a jaunt up to Peckham rooftop bar (that just re-opened for summer) Frank’s Café? The weather is, at press time, meant to be nice. Or, see more beautiful flower shops in London.
