Live music fans rejoice, because even as festival season dies down across London, more events are cropping up to fill those concert-shaped holes in your hearts. Indie live music promotion platform Gotobeat have teamed up with an award-winning student publication from King’s College London, Strand Magazine, for an all new music festival. And it’s all going down at a venue known for championing amazing music and live performance alongside delicious beer: Signature Brew.
Running from 2pm into the night, on September 17, the festival will be your chance to say goodbye to summer. And since it’s happening at a brewery, you know the refreshments are going to be on point. As the recipient of the Brewery Of The Year Award twice, Signature Brew makes inarguably delicious beer. And they’ll be serving up an all-new limited-edition beer just for attendees, made with the help of the festival organisers.
The Gotobeat Festival will see six bands taking the stage, with six more DJs keeping the vibes going throughout. Garage rock band Bilk will headline the festival, with support from rock band L’objectif, art-rock band Youth Sector, indie rock groups SUGARTHIEF and Good Future, and the hip-hop tinged alt-rock solo stylings of Nick Mono. Meanwhile the DJs have been chosen through a competition across London unis where student DJs could submit their mixes to be in with a chance at one of five DJ slots on the day.
It’s a simple formula: Great tunes. Great (limited edition) beer. And sure to be great vibes as well. You won’t want to miss it, so be sure to grab your ticket now.
