London sure glows pretty bright at Christmas-time, what with all the Christmas lights and markets lighting up the night sky. The Glow trail at RHS Wisley will contribute to that, with their longest and most lavish route to date! Get ready for captivating light shows and spectacular displays in the most festive garden around.
Running through to January 8, 2023, this illuminated adventure invites you to gather your friends, wrap up warm, and watch the magical garden come to life. Glow 2022 at RHS Wisley is giving us the wintry spectacle we all truly deserve and, honestly, we can’t contain our excitement.
The enchanting winter wonderland is found just out of London, to the south, but we reckon it’s worth the journey! An all-new trail for 2022 will take you past and through Wisley’s iconic sights, revealing them in a dazzling new light. Head past the Jellicoe Canal and the Old Laboratory, pass through Wisteria Walk and the Glasshouse, and hold on to your hat because the spectacle is frankly mind-blowing. You can keep warm all the while with a variety of drinks and food options from vans along the trail. Wander along, grab a mulled wine, and keep on going – how convenient.
And that afore-mentioned Glasshouse is definitely the star of the show. Expect festive installations both inside and out, including a projected light show, horticultural display, and no doubt one of the most stunning Christmas trees around. The White Christmas theme will bring plenty of snow-y delights even if London doesn’t see any snow this winter!
In addition, there are plenty of fabulous places to pick up a bite if you work up an appetite along the trail. The Terrace Restaurant serves up two or three-course festive meals, with delicious cocktails to boot. Or you can head to the Wisley Café for warming hot drinks, as well as soups, homemade sausage rolls, festive sandwiches, and a range of Christmas cakes. If that’s not enough, the Glasshouse Café is also on hand with pizzas, pasties, and soups to warm the cockles on a cold winter evening. And of course they’ve got plenty of hot drinks and snacks to choose from as well.
