Full English Breakfasts. Loved by lots, loathed by some, a required cure for many (a hangover); the staple dish is a simple formula, but one that will never go out of style.
Tarts. Delicious. A sugar rush that might be just the tonic AFTER a Full English if you’ve still got room, or as an apple-filled afternoon snack that tackles the next hangover hurdle.
But if, and it’s a big if, someone offered you a combination of the two, are you snapping their hands off before they’ve even placed it in front of you, shaking your fist in rage that no one had told you this could be a concept sooner; or are you running to the bathroom at the mere suggestion?
Only one way to find out, and that’s by booking your place to try it at at The Wardrobe Bar and Kitchen, who serve up some majestic=looking (that’s right, I’m sat firmly on the ‘yes’ side) tarts full to the brim with all the components you need.
Beans, sausages, eggs, hash browns and more can be put into your tart, playing an alternative role to the slices of toast we are used to in our Full English Breakfasts. This is going to make or break our hangovers, and I for one cannot wait.
It’s not all the Wardrobe Bar And Kitchen serve up, either. If you (incorrectly) pass up on one of these beautiful Full English Breakfast tarts, there’s also pie & mash, burrata and pesto salads, club sandwiches and much more to sift your way through.
On Saturdays, you might even feel royal enough to indulge in their cream tea afternoon snack – should your hangover be directing you to sweet places over the savoury breakfast tart.
Find the Full English Breakfast tart at 53-55 Carter Lane, EC4V 5AE. You can book your place to try the fine specimen right here.
