Arendelle comes to life at Frozen Land.
Ok, I know we’re supposedly getting our very own Disneyland-esque resort and shouldn’t therefore be jealous of this, but I for one am insanely jealous of this. Disneyland Paris is getting a glorious new Frozen Land, which will bring the magic of Arendelle to life on the fringes of Paris – and we’re raring to go there.
Opening no sooner than 2023 (booo), Frozen Land is laid out around a seven and a half-acre lake, with the royal palace on one side, and the town of Arendelle on the other. Whilst the lake (probably) won’t freeze, it will be used for spectacular performances, which guests will be able to watch from all sides of the lake.
Elsa’s icy palace can be glimpsed up on the hillside, whilst Frozen Land will also feature the ‘Frozen Ever After’ boat ride, which is the quickest way to get to know Arendelle. The new park will also incorporate shops – including a gift shop that’ll no doubt make a killing – a restaurant, and a place to meet Elsa, Anna, Olaf, and the gang.
That’s about all we know about Frozen Land for now, although we can probably cast some guesses by looking a little further east. Disneyland Hong Kong is slated to open a near-identical park in 2021, which will encompass an on-trend rollercoaster ride called Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs – so fingers crossed that heads to Paris too! We’ll keep you in the loop on this one, because obviously we just can’t Let It Go…
