Bit hot today, innit? Nothing that a stroll through the South Bank to pick up a FREE McFlurry won’t fix, though.
Yep, you read that right. McDonald’s have answered the many complainers about the heat with an offer for free ice cream, and will be parking a truck at the South Bank between 4pm – 8pm today (June 16) to provide just that.
And, it’s a good flavour, too. Londoners will be able to tuck into a free tiramisu McFlurry just by showing up to the pop-up. It’s part of their new Italian range released for the summer, and its covered with chocolate biscuit pieces and a meld of coffee and chocolate sauce.
Alongside the McDonalds ice cream van will be games on the lawn, tunes and free picnic blankets to take home, or use this very evening! Free McFlurrys will be available until stocks last.
While this may be a godsend during a heatwave, with temperatures hitting 29°C, it’s also celebrating five years since the launch of the McDelivery service. You can also nab a sweet 30% off orders via McDelivery, which is handy for those that miss out on the free ice cream.
You’ll find the truck at Bernie Spain Garden on the South Bank from 4pm – 8pm today (June 16).
