Cheap as chips.
Yes, you read that correctly. Poppies, one of Secret London’s – and most foodies in the city, tbh – all-time favourite fish and chips spots, is serving fish and chips for just 10p tomorrow.
After most of our bank accounts took an almighty hit over the bank holiday (shudders), this should be glorious reading for, well, just about anyone with taste buds.
So, on National Fish and Chips day tomorrow (June 4), no less, it’s time to breakeven on those funds with some munch as spectacular as the ones you splashed out on last weekend. Poppies wishes to take us back to the 1950s where a portion of cod and chips would cost just 10p.
You’ll have to be very speedy to take advantage of this offer, however. While Poppies may be offering the cheapest deal going at three different locations, you’ll have to make sure you’re with in the first 100 customers at each one (Camden, Spitalfields and Soho).
The offer kicks in from 11am tomorrow at each location. May your luck run swimmingly and the fastest fish come out on top.
