Calling all meat lovers: Fazenda has just opened their mammoth of a restaurant in London with a rodizio like no other. For anyone not familiar with the Rodizio dining style allow me to explain, servers bring various grilled meats on skewers to your table repeatedly throughout the meal and carve the meat right in front of you – now that’s a dining experience we can get behind.
Fazenda’s new London outpost in Bishopsgate spans three floors with an expansive standalone bar for some snazzy drinks, a mezzanine lounge for private dining and quieter drinks, and the huge restaurant above where all the magic happens. Traditional South American flavours from Brazil and Argentina are the star of the show at this grill, with a la carte available alongside the Rodizio menu. The focus at Fazenda is all about serving high-quality meats and freshly prepared sides.
Executive Chef Francisco Martinez was inspired by his recent trips to Brazil and Argentina, cooking up starters such as Gamba Patagonica (giant king prawn, spicy chimichurri), Caviar e Churros, and Wagyu Crudo. Main dishes include standout plates Pasta de Beterraba (beetroot tortellini, orange, feta cheese) and Moqueca de Mar (cod, carabinero prawn, mussels, tomato, coconut) which all feature in the a la carte menu.
If you’re opting for the Rodizio service then a selection of 12 freshly grilled meats will parade your table throughout the night for you to absolutely devour and we heartily recommend the truffle pork tenderloin which tastes as good as it sounds. Other meats you can look forward to include beef rump, lamb cutlets, pork belly and chicken thighs.
In the middle of the restaurant stands the Market Table where an array of dishes are on offer for you to come up as many times as you’d like and serve yourselves a hefty plate of South American dishes to accompany your rodizio meats. There’s no doubt you’ll be leaving this place with a full belly and one or two buttons of pants unbuttoned.
To complement the a la carte and rodizio menu, Fazenda offers a large selection of the finest Argentian, Brazilian, Chilean, and Uruguayan wines, as well as a carefully curated bespoke cocktail menu specifically made for the London restaurant. With free-flowing grilled meats and delicious tipples, what more could you want?
The restaurant itself has been designed to transport guests to a stunning luxe cosmopolitan bar and restaurant in South America, with intricate walnut wall finishes, Italian marble, custom Italian leathers for seating, and stunning one-off feature chandeliers for a feast for your tastebuds and eyes.
