If the sheer-and-utter shock of the cost of a pint in London isn’t heart racing enough, we’ve got just the thing for you. Thrill-seekers and adrenaline-junkies of the capital city, gather round. Less than an hour outside of London, you can find the biggest swing in the whole of Europe. And when we say big, we mean BIG.
Naturally, we had to go and check it out. It’s our job, after all! Although, some of us were less keen than others…

Riding Europe’s biggest swing
The giant swing holds up to five people at once and hoists them up to the height of a 22-storey building. In London talk: that’s higher than three big, red double-decker buses stacked on top of each other. So yes, it’s pretty darn high.
For just a brief moment, you’ll be suspended amongst the chalk cliffs and above the Bluewater lakes. It’s just enough time to take in the scenery around you – before being rapidly plunged to the ground during the heart-racing descent.
With the swing reaching a speed of over 50mph (blimey) once in full swing, this is not an activity for the faint-hearted. However, if you do think you and your mates will provide some comedy gold, we’d recommend opting for the media pack. This sees a camera mounted right in front of your face – ready to capture every last moment. Eek!
