This wonderful espresso martini bike is here to keep us going until the pubs and bars reopen!
Takeaway alcohol may not be an option until April 12, but what if the alcohol could come to you? Handily, that’s exactly what’s going to happen with this nifty new delivery service, as Earl’s Court coffee shop Over Under Coffee and Black Cow vodka have teamed up to launch an espresso martini delivery service, with cocktails whisked over to you via bike.
From April 2 – 11, you can pop on over to the Over Under website, and, if you’re within the two-mile delivery radius of their shop, they’ll hop on the bike and bring them your way. (One can only assume the bike riders haven’t spent lockdown vegetating on the sofa – like this writer – instead of staying active, otherwise this is going to be a very slow service.) Essentially, it brings the cocktail bar to you, with individual serves of espresso martini poured on arrival. You can also nab a bottle of espresso martini or The Dorset Donkey (Black Cow vodka, morello cherry liqueur, and ginger concentrate) to split amongst your pals, which is perfect for those park gatherings.
Anyone outside the delivery range can get the cocktails sent over by standard delivery, although this does admittedly take a little of the shine off of the whole experience. The individual espresso martinis will cost you £8, whilst the bottled cocktails will be £28, with enough to serve four people. Personally, I’m hoping this catches on so we can have cocktails delivered to the office – it’d certainly liven up a slow Monday!
