Head to the magical Strawberry Hill House next Saturday (Sep 28) for a late-night treat.
As part of next weekend’s city-wide Emerge Festival, the gothic Strawberry Hill House in south-west London is hosting a sparkly after-hours event, starring an ‘enchanting night garden’, running 6.30pm – 10.30pm.
Magical woodlands and willow grottoes will be illuminated by lanterns and fairylights, and within you’ll find ‘follies, clairvoyants, and spell-binding story-telling.’ A tarot card reader, harlequins and a fairy queen are just a few of the characters you might encounter – sounds like a standard Saturday night to us!
Even better, a ticket to Strawberry Hill’s sparkling soiree will get you access to all the other Emerge Festival events happening that night, including a candlelit storytelling session in Alexander Pope’s grotto, just a short walk away, where there’ll also be ‘sunset drinks on the shore of the Thames.’
Alternatively, you can head into town for a Jungle DJ set at the Natural History Museum, a silent disco at the top of Tower Bridge, or dozens of other events. Meanwhile, a weekend ticket will get you access to the Friday night line-up as well, with cracking events at Horniman Museum, Wellington Arch, Rich Mix and many more. Two brilliant nights of completely original culture for one simple ticket. Nice.
Plus: there’s 20% off select ticket types today only (Friday, Sep 20), so grab your festival pass while the going’s good – they start from £15 (for Saturday-only tickets for under-30s) and you can get them here.
Note: Emerge Festival is an 18+ event only.
